Today is a sad day. Let me grieve. Go eat your mud and sticks elsewhere.

I'm not entirely sure why anyone cares. Hammond and May will leave with him, they'll be offered a fat stack of cash and return to business as usual on a different channel.

Fingers crossed. There'll probably be a lot of time between now and whenever that happens. Also, there won't be The Stig or the TG track. They don't have the rights.

Well they can have a racing driver they just can't call him the stig. Plus they may actually be able to rent out the same track, but more likely they'll just hire out another.

I think it's time for something entirely new. If they can come up with new stuff, that is.

They took his advice and added lightness to the cast haha.
Seriously I really have nothing against him, just thought he was boring to watch.
I wish him well.

They still can get the track, the BBC doesn't own it, they just rented it out for the show. I know of other people who have rented it out for events. And as fro the stage, they can just hire back Ben Collins and call him something else. The show is still going to be very much alive, and if not bigger, at least the same size.

I hope so. :(

Me too, it's amazing how much the show has grown with Clarkson and Wilman's help, it has truly built the show. Also is it just me or is it ironic that the person that this was centered on Oisin Tymon is now out of a job?

The BBC said they're going to keep Tymon somehow, probably on a different show.

Yeah probably, I don't know, but there is sort of a prestige to working with a show as popular and international as Top Gear

Exactly. It's not like BBC sentenced him to death or something.

That could certainly happen, it's whether they can outbid ITV and Sky.

I'd definitely prefer they shake it up a little, my interest in Top Gear had started to fade in the last couple years.

Yep at worst there's a year break while they set up and film with a new channel and the format gets shaken up a bit (which wouldn't be a bad thing IMO).
